Here at TheDesignAir, we really do believe the rain clouds stalk us, as whenever we go away the rain seems to follow. So imagine our surprise and delight that Abu Dhabi based Etihad has made a promise for travellers booking with their Holiday division, Etihad Holidays.

In what we think is possibly a worldwide first, when holiday-makers travel from the UK between 1st May to 30th September to Abu Dhabi for a break, if it rains more than 5mm, Etihad Holidays will give you another holiday up to the same value, for free.

The UK is quickly becoming a growing market for Etihad, with more than 230,000 passengers travelling from the UK to Abu Dhabi last year, a 14 percent rise on figures for 2014 – according to recent statistics released by the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority.

Mohammed Al Bulooki, Vice President UAE Commercial at Etihad Airways, said: “Our guests from the United Kingdom are repeatedly telling us that they want the acclaimed Etihad Airways experience to extend to every part of their journey to Abu Dhabi and we aim to deliver on their wishes. We are confident that this amazing destination, which we are proud to call home, will enthral and captivate all those who visit us via our three gateways in the UK.

Secretly, we’d now want it to rain, as two holidays for the price of one? Count us in. Just book using this link.
