British Airways will bring a fourth three-class 777 to London Gatwick this winter, meaning the carrier will have a 12 strong fleet of long haul aircraft based at the second busiest airport in London.
The extra aircraft will mean the airline can also launch its three times a week service to Cape Town, supplementing its already twice daily service from London Heathrow. Starting 24th November, the airline is bringing World Traveller (Economy) World Traveller Plus (Premium economy) and Club World to the route, with fares starting at £795 in the economy cabin and £3924 in the business cabin.
This new route joins other new destinations for the carrier from Gatwick including Costa Rica starting on April 27, daily flights to New York’s JFK beginning on May 1 and flights to Lima, Peru commencing on May 4.
