As 2021 draws to a close, we’ve all seen disruption and resilience in aviation in equal measure. The industry has proven itself as strong as ever, facing multiple lockdowns, border closures, new strains and an ever changing landscape. We’ve seen airlines open new routes, shift to cargo, and even through the thick of the hardest, longest challenge to face the commercial industry, we’ve seen innovation, enhancements, and a continued investment into the passenger experience.
I appreciate how many people have lost jobs and opportunities, and heartbreakingly, lives. But I’m heading in to 2022 with a glimmer of hope. Many colleagues and friends are once again working, families are reunited, airlines are re-accepting deliveries and we can even feel the tangible grassroots of recovery in passenger numbers. We’re even seeing the A380 returning with a vengeance.
Personally I look forward to 2022, there’s so much to look forward to, including this site’s 10th anniversary. Personally I will be travelling as much as I can (in a safe manner), reviewing products once again and seeing first-hand how airlines are continuing to put the passenger first and sharing that adventure with you.
A personal ask
As I do every year, I ask for your support, I don’t do it often, and I do it to keep the site ad-free, allowing the beautiful imagery from this industry shine through. As such, there’s no revenue incoming from the site, so instead I ask on your kind support to keep things going. If you are able to donate – whatever amount – it all gets funnelled back in to the site, to keep the site full of content. And I thank you personally for your kind support.
Every year I’m surprised and delighted by the support both individuals and studios provide towards this site, and without them… without you, it wouldn’t be possible.
