Finnair has just released a limited edition range of amenity kits for passengers travelling in the airline’s long-haul business class cabin. Released just in time to celebrate Chinese New Year, the airline has taken its existing Marimekko kits which are currently in the airline’s navy colour and re-imagined them.


With a new red and gold design (which is an existing pattern in the amenity kit selection) dubbed ‘Jonas’ reflect’s the Chinese cultural connection to the colour red, which symbolises luck, joy and happiness. The design, woven in red and gold, features a gold zipper and special red and gold banderole with happy new year written in Chinese.


The kit features the usual amenities, with other amenities available on request in the airline’s bid to increase its sustainability. But you are going to have to be super quick to catch them, as the kit will be available in Business Class between January 20 and February 7 (or while stocks last) on routes between greater China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Helsinki.
