“It’s hard to believe I created this site over eight years ago. In such a short time the passenger experience has developed so much. It is testament to the airlines, design agencies and passengers who collectively morphed the airline experience in to the best the skies have seen since aircraft first flew.
I created this site back in 2012, to help bring the latest news and product developments in the aviation market. In the past years I have personally posted over almost 2,000 articles on TheDesignAir, and over the past few months I opted to trial a period of using digital advertising to help fund the site (you may have noticed), however after public feedback (including mine) we’ve opted to remove any advertising from the site to keep it clean with less distraction – at least for the next year.
At TheDesignAir, I aim to continue this ad-free, subscription-free, content-rich site going indefinitely, but I would like – once again – to ask for your help, whether a design firm, an airline or just an avid #AvGeek. As the site is now run without any income, I value your support in keeping the site funded. Sadly there are costs associated with running a site of this size and breadth, and I hope that you feel there is value in the site. I have not set a donation amount, but instead would ask you to contribute to the site, giving perhaps what you feel a subscription would cost for this curated content.
I appreciate your financial input, which will go into further developing the site, improving the layout and usability and paying the expenses encountered in running the site, but I would also love to hear from you, on what you would like to see more or less of on the site, what is most important to you, and of course to hear if we are doing something wrong.
Thank you for your continued support.”
