Birmingham airport will be the home to a new luxury lounge, created by the super cool business lounge experts ‘No.1 Traveller‘. In October this year they will be bringing their brand of super cool relaxation and comfort to the ever expanding international airport in the Midlands of England. This is No.1 Traveller’s first lounge outside of the London trio of airports. This product is available to anyone travelling through the airport at a small cost.
The lounge, conveniently positioned past security will offer a range of seating from relaxed TV and bar lounges to work stations. A fully stocked and managed bar will offer drinks from soft to spirits and wines. There will also be hot and cold dishes available (at a premium) along side a self-service pantry. Naturally there will be meeting rooms and internet access, but in there press release there is no mention of any great advances in their product offering, no showers, free cocktails, bubbles or any nifty innovations commonly found in the daddy of all super cool lounges, the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouses. For those looking for a spa, sadly it seems you’ll still need to head to one of their London locations at Heathrow or Gatwick.
Phil Cameron, founder and CEO of No.1 Traveller states “Birmingham Airport means business when it comes to air travel – world-class carriers, a great range of destinations and a viable alternative to London’s airports. Its passengers increasingly expect world-class services to match their travel experience and so we’re honoured to extend our award-winning lounge collection to Birmingham Airport. This new lounge marks the next stage in No.1 Traveller’s continued expansion and I am delighted that we are creating 20 new jobs as part of this opening.”
