September will see the introduction of an all-new Business Class seat and service in France’s long-haul leisure carrier Corsair. The new service will be in addition to the older recliner chairs, which will in effect now become a rather luxurious premium economy cabin. These new seats offer a lie-flat bed in a ‘couple-friendly’ 2 x 2 x 2 seating arrangement in their airbus fleet and a 2 x 2 on the top deck of their 747s.

The new B/E Aerospace seats with their ash-wood veneer and smart slate cushions are a massive upgrade on the existing ‘Grand Class’ and being a small cabin of just 12 seats means for a very exclusive service.

Passengers will have access to quilted duvets and oversized pillows, space for personal belongings, a large table and entertainment on hand via an iPad Pro tablet, that can access inflight WiFi and Sennheiser noise-cancelling headphones. Each seat will come with in-seat power, and an amenity kit from Pure Altitude.

This new cabin refit matches the enhanced lounge product the carrier offers, which is also available to Grand Class passengers. The Business Corsair lounges in Paris, Guadeloupe and Martinique all offer plenty of space and amenities. Some feature showers and all feature Wi-Fi access, newspapers, magazines and “sweet and savory buffets” at all hours of the day.

The airline has been offering some fairly affordable upgrade offers recently from their existing Grand Class cabin, it might be worth a quick trip across the Atlantic some time soon!
