It might look familiar, but that’s for good reason. Plaza Premium Group has just opened its latest lounge at London Gatwick Airport, taking over the space that was originally a Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse. This take-over reinforces the Group’s strategic presence in the United Kingdom and increases its foothold across the rest of Europe to six lounges with further openings scheduled for late 2021.

While this ex-Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse will become a true Plaza Premium Lounge, the other Clubhouses across Virgin Atlantic’s network will be managed by Plaza Premium, but still be Virgin Clubhouses. But Plaza Premium doesn’t want to stop here. In an agressive expansion, we will see Frankfurt in Germany and Budapest in Hungary join the network by the end of the year.

We’ve always loved Virgin Atlantic’s Gatwick Clubhouse, it’s light, airy and well designed. Located within the North Terminal, the space spans 1,350 square metres, and can accommodate up to 190 guests

Interestingly the airline has opted not to refurb the lounge in its signature muted modern style, instead it celebrates Virgin’s aesthetic and hasn’t changed a thing. The lounge and bar are designed to provide a distinctive experience for passengers in addition to subtly immersing them into the local culture through its features and offerings. There is even a kid zone specially designed for family travellers at the lounge.

In addition, guests enjoy seamless dining experiences with Smart Order, a contactless food ordering system accessible via smart mobile devices. Guests choose from an array of dining delights including Asian, European, Continental, International, and Indian cuisines available in the lounge. The Lounge is open daily from 6:00 am to 17:30 pm. All services are available for reservation on the Plaza Premium Lounge official website.
