Virgin Atlantic released today they are putting VS026/027 into service operating the ever popular NY-LON route from LHR to JFK. Commencing on 28th October, the fourth daily service between JFK and LHR offers the perfect excuse to try the new super cool JFK Clubhouse whilst either popping into Manhattan or gracing Bond Street in London for some Christmas shopping.
Virgin Atlantic is using its fleet strategically fighting the heavy traffic between New York and London offering a much better and newer product than its competitors whilst competing on fares. With the new in-flight product on the A330 operating on this route (although not confirmed whether it will be operating this extra scheduled service – only that it will be an Airbus), combined with extra frequencies, Virgin have established a real stranglehold between these two airports.
The service will depart daily from London Heathrow Terminal 3 at 7pm arriving into New York at shortly after 10pm local time. The return service will complement the airline’s existing overnight flights into Heathrow, leaving New York JFK Terminal 4 at 8am and arriving back into London at 8pm local time. This should provide excellent connections for American travellers onto further Virgin Atlantic routes from London. Check out the full Virgin airline family experience on FlyVirgin.com
Good write-up. I definitely love this website. Stick with it!
